Heartfelt Thanks from a Veteran

Johnny

Johnny is one of 629 people – veterans and their family members – helped by the Veterans First program of Friendship Place in 2014. “If it weren’t for Friendship Place, I’d be back in a shelter. They do a great job with almost anything and everything you need. I’ve never seen anything like the genuine, caring concern I see here.”

Johnny is working now for a valet parking service. His goals: to clean up his credit and get his Commercial Driver’s License renewed, so that he can get a better-paying job. With decades of experience in security and corrections, he has reason to be optimistic. “I have no doubt he’ll succeed,” says Johnny’s case manager, Tyler Harmon. “He’s determined.”

Below is a letter of thanks from Johnny that arrived at our Welcome Center.
