Friendship Place 2022 Juneteenth Arts Contest

This year, Friendship Place commemorated Juneteenth, a holiday dedicated to celebrating the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans and highlighting African-American culture, with the first annual Friendship Place Juneteenth Arts Contest!

Participants submitted artwork, poetry, and short written essays highlighting “What Juneteenth Means to Me.”
