Obama family serves homeless veterans on Thanksgiving eve

On Wednesday, Nov. 25, the First Family of the United States on Wednesday serves Thanksgiving dinner to homeless veterans St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Washington, D.C. The “Feast with Friends” dinner is put on by the Friendship Place program which helps homeless and at-risk veterans.

Your support for Friendship Place has a lasting impact. In 2022, our programs ended or prevented homelessness for 4,497 people, including 600 children in families and 750 veterans. We empowered 136 people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to get jobs through innovative, state-of-the-art job placement services.
