Valley Place

Valley Place is a new Short-Term Housing facility and a new program at Friendship Place serving individuals and couples experiencing homelessness. Program participants moving into the facility will reside in a care-conducive environment where they can heal and start the process of rebuilding. The program has the goal of transitioning participants into housing within 90 days of their arrival.

Valley Place opened its doors on November 22, 2021.

Who We Serve

Valley Place serves chronically homeless men and women. Residents leaving the program and facility graduate into Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) or Rapid Housing (RR) within a few months. The facility is a partnership with the DC government’s Department of Human Services (DHS) and is located in the Anacostia region of Southeast, Washington, DC.

Need Help?

Valley Place receives all referrals for placement directly from DHS. Individuals cannot self-refer. Service providers can refer individuals who have already been matched to Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) or Rapid Rehousing (RRH) services to DHS.
