    Emily Carpenter came to Friendship Place in January of 2013 as a case manager with the Veterans First program. In July 2014, she helped start a pilot program that helped veteran families experiencing homelessness in Prince George’s county. She was promoted to Project Coordinator for the Veterans First team in July 2015. Emily then served as the Assistant Director for the Veterans First program for over 3 years before becoming the Division Director in June 2019. Prior to working at Friendship Place Emily completed a year of service at another agency in DC that is committed to ending chronic homelessness.

    Emily graduated from Villanova University with a BA in Psychology, a concentration in Peace and Justice studies, and a minor in Spanish.
