  • Kally Canfield,

Veteran Services Division Director Veteran Services Division 202.248.2801

Kally Canfield started her work in social services in high school as an in-home health aide, helping elderly individuals maintain independent living. During college she worked full-time in various group homes, where she was exposed to a wide variety of people experiencing mental health, behavioral and developmental disabilities.

Kally has a BA in Sociology and a minor in Social Work from Clarion University. She specializes in working with at-risk populations and has strong mediation and crisis intervention skills.

Kally joined the Friendship Place team in 2010 as a case manager with Neighbors First. She helped start the Veterans First program in 2011 as its Assistant Director. In July 2014, she became the Division Director of Veteran Services at Friendship Place. Under her leadership, Veterans First has grown into the largest provider of VA-funded rapid rehousing services in the Metro region, without outcomes that consistently outperform national averages. The program has twice been awarded mentor status by the VA and in 2015 was awarded CARF Accreditation.
