Jon Bolduc has over two decades of clinical experience working as a social worker in the District of Columbia. Prior to Friendship Place, he spent 12 years at The Salvation Army – National Capital Area Command, providing leadership and oversight of the social service programs for the DC Metro Area. His previous employers also include Charlie’s Place, Community Connections, Unity Health Care, and So Others Might Eat (SOME).
Jon gained his passion for serving people experiencing homelessness early in his career when he provided street outreach to vulnerable, under-served, and difficult to engage individuals. It is through this work that he became a strong advocate of the housing first and harm reduction models. Jon has continued to work to improve, expand, and develop needed social services (while incorporating creative and innovative service delivery models and techniques).
Jon earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from The Catholic University of America – National Catholic School of Social Services and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the District of Columbia. He brings this passion and desire, combined with his experience and commitment to his work, to Friendship Place and La Casa.
