In 2014, Friendship Place launched Families First, a program specifically designed to help veterans and their families, like the Brooks family, rebuild their lives. The first participants of the program, The Brooks family, were thrown into homelessness by a sequence of events that started with a car breakdown.

Because of your past generosity, not only is Mr. Brooks gainfully employed, but the family now has a permanent house! Mr. Brooks is so proud that his children have a yard to play in for the first time in their lives.

Learn more about the Brooks family and their journey out of homelessness here.
